About Nursing Research Forum
The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence which would endeavor to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine. It was also envisaged that these specialists would spread out in the country in various medical colleges and medical institutions and impart medical education of highest standard to the students and set up nucleus of excellence in their own institutions.

Contributions to “Nursing REsearch Forum, NINE, Chandigarh” is permitted text deduction under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961 to the terms and conditions presented in the said section till March, 2008).

- Promote Scientific enquiry among nurses.
- Publish a scientific journal of nursing research forum.
Editorial
October 2005 issue conveyed congratulations to the care taker of the Nursing Research Forum for getting the Nursing and Midwifery Journal registered under press and registration of books act 1867. This achievement is soon followed by another landmark in this newly registered journal. The publisher of this journal has been allowed registration u/s 12AA and entered in the register of application u/s 12A(a) of the office of the income tax, Chandigarh and thereafter has been declared eligible for the tax deduction under section 80G of the income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961) in the hands of the donors subject to the limits and conditions prescribed in the said section upto 31.03.2008. This kind gesture of financial commissioner, Chandigarh to exempt income tax for donors is an official stamp to promote nursing literature leading to deliver of better health services to the people through evidence/research. Both government and consumers are looking upto nurses, the major health manpower force to improve index of health. The Nursing and Midwifery Research Journal provides an opportunity to the nurse practitioners for dissemination of findings of the research work they have pursued or are working on. Now the task is in the hands of nurses to utilize the given opportunity and forces for exhibiting their “NURSING” & make positive difference in the lives of people by promoting and preserving their health.
Guidelines for the Contributors
Journal is published by Nursing Research Forum Society. This journal is the official organ of the said society. It invites research based articles, & research briefs for publications in all fields of nursing. All the published material will thereafter be the property of the Nursing Research Forum.
Publication to the submitted should be original and not elsewhere submitted and published. Manuscripts accepted for publications are subject to editorial changes required for conformity with
